Gullet Bottom

A critical point in tooth design is the gullet bottom, where the risk of cracks is greatest. Under normal conditions this will be the most stressed part of the whole blade. Stresses will be concentrated here and the stresses will be higher the smaller the gullet radius is. A well-rounded gullet bottom or distribution of the stresses over a greater area are recommended.
