HEAD OR LOG SAW BLADES |
| These large diameter inserted tooth saw blades, generally 7-8 split gauge, are made of a special alloy steel. Because inserted teeth do not require the plate to be set or swaged, it can be hardened to 45- 48 Rc, approximately 10 Rockwell points higher than a solid tooth rip saw blade of the same diameter. This provides excellent tension holding properties which are highly desirable in large diameter saw blades. |
