The figure shows details of tooth geometry which are of interest here. The
angles of the tooth are called hook angle, tooth angle and clearance angle. The
tooth geometry is also formed by the pitch, i.e. the tooth spacing, and the
depth of the gullet. Generally speaking these will give the gullet area.
