Specialists in Brazing Silver Solder
Let Sharp Tool be your answer to all your soldering needs.
We have invested a great deal in our unique pretinning process that is
second to none.
Essentially, Sharp Tool's 50% Cadmium Free Silver is a
combination of Silver, Copper, Zinc and some Nickel. All of the said above
play a pivotal role in providing a good braze.
Our qualified pretinning team can pretin nearly any product.

All of our carbide is braze treated by the original
L.B. Toney
process to ensure a smooth,
consistent braze. The process essentially removes the
tungsten grain from the surface of the carbide part, exposing the cobalt
binder. There are small pockets that are formed by removing the tungsten
grain which causes the brazing alloy to flow easier, thus creating a
stronger joint.
Many carbide suppliers
attempt to switch to Nickel Coating.
However, the nickel coating process allows the silver to lift from the
carbide part leading to an improper braze. Nickel Coating is an inconstant
and irresponsible attempt to treat carbide that leaves customers with an
inferior product.
If your carbide supplier / pretinning company is not
using the L.B. Toney process, your carbide is obsolete. This is not just our
opinion, this is a fact.
The L.B. Toney treatment along with our superior
pretinning produces the highest quality pretinned carbide.

Silver prices have gone up dramatically over the past year, you cannot
afford to be wasteful with you braze. We are as efficient as possible with
our silver and all of our parts have a consistent flow of silver.
Buying your part pretinned will save you time when brazing. Its one less
step you need to worry about. Time = Money.
We have made more investments in our pretinning process than
any of our competitors. We have been
brazing carbide for over fifty years and understand the importance of a high
quality pretinned part.
We are so confident in our pretinning process, we guarantee you'll be
satisfied with our work. Bottom Line, there is no one who can match our
quality.

Cutting Nails or brazing saws that take a serious beating? Try our 495
High Impact
pretinning.
High impact requires more heat when brazing but the 495 High Impact
has the chemical properties to withstand the most rigorous beatings. Similar
to Tri-Metal Shims, 495 High Impact is able to absorb serious abuse
while providing a cushion to the brazed pocket.

Sharp Tool also offers premium quality Tri-Metal Shims cut to
customers desired length. We can also pretinn parts using tri-metal.
Sharp Tool's Tri-Metal Shims are basically a 505 Silver - Copper - 505
Silver sandwich that provides extra cushion to carbide parts taking a great
deal of abuse. Tri-Metal serves as an excellent alternative to conventional
pretinning.
